Reframing your day

14 December 2024

Last week I had a workday, when it felt like things were not going to plan. I was slightly frustrated, and then I received a text from my sister asking me how my day was going.

Don’t ask me how, but I looked at my day again and realised things were just not that bad; if anything, the day was good.

I just allowed myself to make one situation frame the whole of my day.

Two days later I had a conversation with my mum and sister about how thinking and worrying about things can make you sick. You don’t realise how powerful your thoughts are.

A verse came up in that conversation, found in Philippians chapter 4 verse 8

“Finally, believers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable and worthy of respect, whatever is right and confirmed by God’s word, whatever is pure and wholesome, whatever is lovely and brings peace, whatever is admirable and of good repute; if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think continually on these things [center your mind on them, and implant them in your heart].”

I hope this helps you to reframe your day and remember to take what you are worrying about to God before anyone else.

Stay blessed
